Road Trip

Early Sunday morning we left on a road trip to the Grand Canyon! The three of us, plus our cousins Steve, Sonia and their son Alex loaded up the rental Yukon and left for cooler weather. We stopped in Camp Verde for lunch and a break and then on through Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon! The cooler and windy weather provided us with our first opportunity to put Brady in a jacket this season. The canyon was beautiful! We made sure to take lots of pictures and to indulge on ice cream & hot chocolate! All too soon, we were back in the car and back to Flagstaff for the night. Brady was soooo excited to be set free on the ground and happily explored the hallway and hotel room. He had a sink bath and then Shaun helped him jump from bed to bed. Then it was time for him to go to bed. This was the first time he has slept outside the house for the night. He slept soundly for just about 12 hours. Yea! After some breakfast the next morning, it was time to head back. We stopped by Montezuma's Castle on the way down. When we left Flag, Brady was wearing long sleeves, long pants and a hat, but with the 20+ degree difference he was quickly changed into shorts and a short sleeve shirt. We had a great time, but are happy to be home!

  1. We just put Nathan in a jacket for the first time too! I didn't think he could get any cuter. (Pictures to be added to the blog soon.)
