Currently In the World of Brady

Brady is definitely not a baby anymore. He runs, talks and plays! He continues to increase his vocabulary and seems to pick up new words all the time. He points to things and says “this” when he wants something that he does not have a word for and calls all liquids “juice.” It’s pretty funny when he’s in the bathtub or playing with the hose and labels the water “juice.” He still calls our dogs “puppies” but calls my parents’ dog by name; Kola. (Good thing he hasn’t picked up on the other names we call that dog!!!!) Brady is also starting to pretend play. He gathers up pots and ladles and then gets some spices and “shakes” them into the pot and stirs it around. He will also pick up a bag, tell us “see ya” and head for the door as if he’s going somewhere. He has also recently shown interest in a monkey that Shaun’s mom made for him. He carries it around, puts it in a car seat and pushes it around the house. And along with his favorite blankie, the monkey sleeps in bed with him! Brady is also a fan of youtube! His favorite song is the 1, 2, 3, 4 song by Feist from Sesame Street. His second favorite: Elmo’s Song! He tries to sing along; too cute! In fact, he tries to sing a lot of songs including Ba Ba Black Sheep and Happy Birthday. The other day when I lit a candle in the kitchen, he quickly started singing happy birthday. Even though the words are not super clear, the tune is right! Oh yes, one more new thing Brady has started doing; he has started sticking his tongue out the side of his mouth when he is concentrating or being silly. I have heard from sources close to me that this is something Shaun did when he was younger…
