Last Saturday we took Brady to his first baseball game!
- Diamondbacks vs. The Nationals -
For the first few innings we sat in our seats, indulged in must have ball park food and tried to teach Brady to say "home run" instead of "touchdown"! After making sure to finish our overpriced beer we explored the third level which had a playground for Brady. Mistakenly, I told the "keepers of the playground" that he was 2 without reading the sign which stated it was for children 3 and up. They said he could play for 5 minutes since he wasn't suppose to be there. In the next few minutes, the gentleman came over and said since Brady was so tall he could stay, but if he got hurt, the paperwork needed to say he was 3! DONE!!! After a bit, we explored some more and fount the playground Brady was suppose to play on. -boring- Thank goodness Baxter's Den was super close and he was out taking pictures and signing autographs! As we were approaching, Brady began to cry, but the closer we got the more ok with Baxter Brady became. He got close enough to give a high-5, but was also happy to walk away with his signed picture!
Next, we watched the game from the upper level. There was very low attendance so we could pretty much sit wherever we pleased. The upper level was easier for Brady to see the entire field all at once. We actually preferred the upper level seats ourselves! After the 7th inning stretch, we called it a game and headed for home. Once at home Brady wanted to watch Baseball on TV. :)
