The 3 year old update

I'm pretty sure this is what I will say every year: I can't believe how much he's grown learned, changed and yet stayed the same. He's one amazing little boy!

How he's changed:
His vocabulary continues to explode. Before 2.5 he was putting well over 3 words together. Now he has back and forth conversations with many exchanges and speaks in full paragraphs!
He's grown taller
He plays pretend and uses his imagination. He has some imaginary friends: baby zombies and baby hairy spiders.
He plays by himself- he wasn't even close to being in a room alone this time last year.
He sleeps on a "big boy bed" kinda- a mattress on the floor. His crib was transitional, but when we went to transition it from a toddler bed to a full size bed we realized we needed a box spring and different mattress than we had for our extra bed. I've been looking on and off for a new bed for him.

He wears two of the same shoe
He can peddle his bike - fast!
He uses regular cups- no lids required!
He does lots of "tricks" (spins, jumps, hops, uses the couch, beds and vehicle seats as props for some of his "tricks"
He goes to school
He loves Nerf guns
He walks into our bedroom in the middle of the night or in the mornings when he wakes up - no need to go and get him anymore!
He loves The Wonder Pets and Calliou
He colors or paints and then tell us what it is and describes it.
He is alright with getting his hands dirty and sticky
He identifies Target, McDonalds (embarrassing) and Starbucks
He sings along with songs he is listening to
He wears underwear ALL day long!
He loves hunting zombies with Daddy
He says things like; "I'm feeling really frustrated" and "I'm really mad at you right now."
He doesn't like loud sudden noises (fire drills, fireworks)
He negotiates
He loves football; throwing, kicking and tackling

Things that have not changed:

He loves to dance
He loves reading books
He loves going on bear hunts (poor dogs)
He loves playing outside
He loves his blankies
He loves Peyton
He loves the dogs
He doesn't love their kisses
He loves his cousin Abe
He doesn't "smile nicely" for the camera - I have to be sneaky!
He's HAPPY!
He still has his "stork bite" on his forehead -which they said would disappear around 9 months old!
He loves "peanuthoney" -peanut butter & honey sandwiches
His Daddy is his "best friend"

Things we love about him

ALL OF THE ABOVE!
Along with his warm heart and his desire to make people laugh and smile!

-We can't wait to see what this year holds!
