28 Weeks-Blake the Busy Body!
Here are the highlights of the past 3 weeks:
-Blake rolled off the bed at 1:00 in the morning...we now have bed rails!
-We went to the North Pole via the Polar Express Train
-Touched snow!!!
-Sits up independently
-Celebrated Brady's 5th Birthday
-Saw Santa
-Began creeping today!
Yes, Yes, poor Blake fell off the bed a few weeks ago. Up until that night, he had only flipped from his back or side to his belly. Apparently that night, he rolled a couple times! In the morning light I noticed a small bruise around his left eyebrow.
Everyone enjoyed the mini vacation to the North Pole! We drove up to Williams and before we got there it started snowing. By the time we settled into our hotel room, and took our train ride it was like a blizzard! My mom checked the weather and with the windchill, it felt like 9*. Brady had a great time the next morning playing in the snow. Blake got to touch it and didn't seem to be bothered by the cold.
Over the past couple weeks, Blake has been sitting independently for longer and longer periods of time. He still tips, but we can sit him down and walk away without the fear of him tipping right away or straight backwards. And today I put him down on his blanket and when I checked on him next, he had maneuvered himself off the blanket and into Brady's toys- specifically the magnatiles and cars.
Earlier this week we celebrated Brady's 5th Birthday. Blake got him the movie The Croods and we went to see Santa and to Zoo Lights.
Since the last post Blake has stopped sucking his thumb I guess that was a one week phase. He talks a lot and screams louder than I think Brady ever did. He screams in a playful way and him and Brady often play a screaming game. They basically scream back and forth to one another. And there is no one that can make Blake laugh more than Brady!! He is still a wonderful snuggler and a very happy boy. He still enjoys his carrier, reading books, chewing on his toys, watching his puppies and pulling off his socks! :)
This week we will celebrate Christmas- and we're hoping that Santa brings Blake a banana or avocado!
